01 Trust & Security
Look for savings without sharing more than the process needs.
The normal ClosingCash workflow is designed to read source documents on your device, work from details you confirm, and limit later sharing to the step you authorize.

Your documents stay under your control.
We limit information to what the step requires.
You decide whether to keep going.
Important parts of the process include human review.
02 Your normal Savings Scan
Your Loan Estimate is read on your device.
When you select a Loan Estimate for the normal Savings Scan, the document is read on your device. You review and confirm the closing-cost details used to create your scan.
The primary ClosingCash application works from those confirmed details. In the normal flow, the source Loan Estimate itself is not uploaded to the primary application simply to identify a possible savings opportunity.
03 Focused information
ClosingCash does not need every detail in your Loan Estimate to run a scan.
A Loan Estimate contains more information than the service needs to identify costs you may be able to shop.
The normal workflow focuses on the closing and cost details used to identify services, compare prices, and calculate the savings figures shown in the product. You review those details before confirming them.
04 Who sees what?
Access changes with the role and the step.
You
You can see your scan, provider pricing, workflow status, provider details after the appropriate purchase, and your Final Savings Summary.
Providers
Providers receive the closing information used to evaluate the service and submit pricing. They do not automatically receive your identity or source Loan Estimate simply to quote.
Your lender
When a lender check is required and authorized, the lender receives the provider and service information used for that review.
ClosingCash
The primary application uses the confirmed closing and cost details needed to provide the service, along with account and workflow information used to operate and support it.
05 Permission
Starting a scan does not authorize every later step.
Starting a scan
does not automatically send your source Loan Estimate to a provider or lender.
Seeing a possible savings opportunity
does not select a provider or commit you to making a change.
Provider or lender coordination
uses the information for that step only after the required permission is given.
06 When a document is hard to read
Review the details yourself or try a clearer copy.
If the scan cannot reliably read enough information from your Loan Estimate, you can enter or confirm the closing-cost details manually.
You can also try a clearer copy. A reading problem does not require you to upload the source document to the primary ClosingCash application.
07 Closing Disclosure
The normal final-savings review follows the same local-first approach.
Your Closing Disclosure contains the final closing costs. In the normal review, the document is read on your device and you confirm the matching charges used to calculate final savings and prepare the Final Savings Summary.
08 Human review
Some parts of the process include a human check.
ClosingCash uses human review at designated points, including review of certain savings and provider information before results become available. Technology organizes the workflow; human review is an additional check where the process calls for it.
09 Privacy principles
How the normal workflow is designed.
Read source documents on your device
The normal Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure flows are designed for local document reading.
Work from confirmed details
You review the closing and cost information used by the service.
Limit provider disclosure
Providers do not automatically receive your identity or source Loan Estimate simply to submit pricing.
Ask before later sharing
Starting a scan does not authorize every later use or disclosure.
10 Common privacy questions
Clear answers about your information.
Does ClosingCash store my Loan Estimate during a normal Savings Scan?
In the normal scan, the source Loan Estimate is read on your device and is not uploaded to the primary ClosingCash application. The application works from the closing-cost details you review and confirm.
What information does ClosingCash actually use from my Loan Estimate?
ClosingCash uses the closing and cost details needed to identify shoppable services, compare pricing, and calculate the savings figures shown in the product. The normal workflow does not require every detail in the document.
Do providers see my name before giving a quote?
Not simply to evaluate and price the service. Providers receive the closing information used for that purpose. Your identity and source Loan Estimate are not automatically included.
Does starting a Savings Scan give ClosingCash permission to share my information?
No. Starting a scan does not by itself authorize provider or lender coordination. Information used for a later step is shared only after the permission required for that step.
Does ClosingCash sell my personal information?
ClosingCash does not sell personal information for money.
Does ClosingCash use my mortgage information for targeted advertising?
ClosingCash does not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. Advertising and analytics services are not permitted to receive buyer identifiers, closing events, or information derived from uploaded documents.
What if ClosingCash cannot read enough information from my Loan Estimate?
You can enter or confirm the details yourself, or try a clearer copy. Difficulty reading a document does not require you to upload the source Loan Estimate to the primary ClosingCash application.
Why does ClosingCash need my Closing Disclosure?
The Closing Disclosure contains the final closing costs. ClosingCash uses the matching confirmed charges to calculate final savings and prepare the Final Savings Summary.
